Amy Adams is Julie Powell, an amateur chef who decides to cook every recipe in Mastering the Art of French Cooking, the famous cookbook by Julia Child (played by Meryl Streep). Over the course of a year, Powell chronicles her experiences in a blog, which became the basis for her autobiographical book Julie and Julia: 365 Days, 524 Recipes, 1 Tiny Apartment Kitchen.
