In this sequel of sorts to Wong Kar Wei's celebrated IN THE MOOD FOR LOVE, Tony Leung Chiu Wai plays Chow Mo Wan, a writer and womanizer. He names the book 2046, after the number of the room next door, where a beautiful woman resides. As Wong Kar Wai fans know, plot descriptions do not communicate the cinematic depth of his films.
