A journalist adrift in Rome forms the basis for Federico Fellini's best-known work, one of the greatest films of the 20th century. Marcello Mastroianni plays Rubini, a newspaper reporter covers the rich and famous, leading him to question his purpose in life. Despite his doubts, he seems to attract beautiful women wherever he goes, including a Hollywood goddess (Ekberg) and a heiress (Aimée). The film that gave us the word "paparazzi." Not to mention the famous wading scene in the Trevi Fountain.
