Synopsis:
Beginning in 1996, General Motors began offering consumers an electric car -- the EV-1. This radical vehicle promised to alter the very nature of automobility in the United States. But instead of expanding on this invention, General Electric eventually took all of these vehicles off the road and destroyed them. Why? What behind-the-scene forces destroyed this market innovation?
