Danny Boyle won the Academy Award for Best Director and Best Film for SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE in 2008 and has yet to announce his next project. Until now. Next year, he is set to begin shooting 127 HOURS, a biographical film about the mountaineer Aaron Lee Ralston, who had to saw off his own arm (more).
The filmmakers who created the new apocalyptic blockbuster, 2012, say that if the world was ending, they would try to save the Mona Lisa first. And the city of Los Angeles? Probably not. This will be the third time that Roland Emmerich has destroyed LA in one of his movies (more).
Tom Hanks’ newly-produced film, BEYOND ALL BOUNDARIES, opens at the National World War II Museum in New Orleans on Friday. The film will be shown exclusively at the museum's new Victory Theater, which includes “4-D elements such as props, simulated winds and shaking seats.” (more). WOAH.
