Brad Pitt is a basterd!
Submitted Wed, Aug 26, 2009 14:07 by gerrySay what you want about Brad Pitt’s tabloid persona, the man is a damn fine actor who connects with audiences. With INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS, Pitt has lent his talents to another top box office film and added Quentin Tarantino to the list of influential directors he’s worked with. Some critics act as if it has been only recently that the actor has devoted himself to projects outside of Hollywood’s mainstream, but if you look at the roles and the directors he has worked with throughout his entire career you’ll see this is not the case. Spend time taking in some of Pitt’s most memorable performances and see why he’s one of the best actors of his generation. See Pitt in Edward Zwick’s LEGENDS OF THE FALL, Guy Ritchie’s SNATCH, Alejandro Iñárritu’s BABEL and David Fincher’s THE CURIOUS CASE OF BENJAMIN BUTTON.

Nomatter what anyone says Pitt has grown up in films and has improved in each one of them. Yes the directores were well known and had him in good films. But it was his exsperiance and knowledge that made his part stand out. And yes the other actors were very much help also ,its their job tomake him lokgood. So deal with it!!!!!
I just saw Inglorious Basterds and thought it was very entertaining. I didn't think Brad Pitt was the outstanding actor in the film--Christopher Walz was.
dont compliment him he is a lousy actor he is carried by his fellow actors look at troy god if he was any more bouring id have died in the chair he was appauling the only movie in which he had and life was when he played the un dead in interview with the vampire
Oh yeah: Floyd (True Romance) is possibly his best character ever :P, just like Samuel L. Jackson in that movie :D.
@Gerry
Very true indeed :) thought you missed that piece of film-history altogether... Apparently not :).
Hey Steven,
Thanks for the comment! However, I would like to point out that INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS is the first time Brad Pitt has worked with Tarantino as a director. Tony Scott (brother of Ridley Scott) actually directed TRUE ROMANCE, while Tarantino wrote the screenplay. Tarantino wanted to direct the film himself, but he wasn't well known yet and opted to just sell the screenplay and focus his efforts on RESERVOIR DOGS.
Just saw Inglorious Basterds...an inglorious waste of your time
Ehmm.... Brad Pitt's already worked with Tarantino (True Romance, Pitt played the role of Floyd... yes one of his finer parts ;) ). Know your film-history, especially considering True Romance is one of the best movies ever (yes... ever...).
