Mike White. You may not know his name but you're probably familiar with his work – witness, for example, his turn as Jack Black’s unassuming pushed-around roommate in SCHOOL OF ROCK

.But White is better known for the time he spends behind the scenes as an established and in-demand screenwriter, lending his writing talents to hit films like ORANGE COUNTY, NACHO LIBRE and SCHOOL OF ROCK. And recently, taking a break from comedy blockbusters, White made his directorial debut at the 2007 Sundance Film Festival with the hilarious YEAR OF THE DOG. Now that HBO has given the green light to his television series "Enlightened," he won’t be a secret much longer.
