Alejandro, a 12-year-old Latino orphan, lives and works in the "Iron Triangle," an industrial area in Willet's Point, Queens filled with auto-body repair shops. Alejandro lives in a back room of one of these shops, and spends his time learning the repair trade, selling pornographic DVDs and doing just about everything else he can to get ahead. When his older sister comes to live with him in his tiny room, he decides to save enough money to start his own business, buying and renovating a beat-up mobile-food truck. But, as Alejandro learns, life has other lessons planned for him.
