Not going to lie: I kinda wanna go see Ridley Scott's ROBIN HOOD on opening night? Is that weird?
Woody Allen provided details on his upcoming romance comedy, MIDNIGHT
IN PARIS, which he will begin filming this summer (in Paris). MIDNIGHT
will star French actress Carla Bruni-Sarkozy along with support from
Owen Wilson, Marion Cotillard, Rachel McAdams, and Kathy Bates. As
Allen's press release states, “The film celebrates a young man’s great
love for Paris, and simultaneously explores the illusion people have
that a life different from their own is better." You mean, its about
not wanting to belong to any club that would have someone like you for
a member? (more).
Cantor
Futures Exchanges received a preliminary approval from federal
regulators to create an exchange where people can bet on the success of
new Hollywood movies despite major opposition from the film industry.
"The idea is to give people a way to make an investment in how well a
film will perform in theaters. Those who sign on as buyers are betting
that it will do better than the market expects, while those who agree
to sell are betting it won't," the LOS ANGELES TIMES reports. One
million dollars in box-office revenue would translate to a contract
value of one dollar. If this goes through, make sure you don't put any
money down on a movie featuring Madonna!!

Universal
just released 54 high resolution film stills from Ridley Scott's
upcoming movie, ROBIN HOOD, starring Russell Crowe and Cate Blanchett.
Slash Film will publish its "unofficial", early review of the film
tomorrow (more).
