How do I watch movies here on my computer?
It’s easy to watch films online at FilmFresh.com. The first time you rent or buy a film from us, we’ll walk you through a simple set-up process. You only have to go through the set-up once. After that, you can select and start watching a film within minutes.
The set-up process is determined by the browser you are using to access the Internet. Again, our purchase process will walk you through the set-up, but if you want to know more, just click on the name of your browser below, and you'll be taken to the appropriate instructions.
After your purchase is complete, a confirmation page will appear.Select the appropriate button to begin the viewing process. If you prefer to watch your film later, simply log into Film Fresh, go to the My Films page and initiate the process there. You can download or stream the film to your computer if you are on a PC, and stream the film if you are on a Mac.
If you are a PC or Mac user and you are streaming your film, the process is very simple. Our Web player will start things off. It does require a free Widevine plugin, no matter what browser or operating system you are using. If you don't happen to have this plugin already installed, we'll prompt you and show you how to obtain it. You only need to download and install the plugin once. Your movie will start as soon as a small portion of the film has been downloaded (for a buffer, allowing you to begin watching the film while the rest of the movie streams in the background).
If you are a PC user and you are downloading your film, you'll need to have your Windows Media player set properly. It's not complicated. Click on the link below for the instructions specific to your browser. If you are renting a film, you have 30 days to begin viewing your rental, and 24 hours to watch the movie once you've started viewing. The rental will be locked to the device on which you initially started to view the film.
If you are purchasing a film, you can watch the film whenever you want, and, obviously, as many times as you want. It's yours to keep, in download form on your computer, or, if you prefer, saved on our remote servers -- "in the cloud" -- available through your My Films page whenever you are connected to the Internet.
Our movies can be viewed on both PCs and Macs. You can also watch our films on countless Film Fresh stores pre-installed in consumer electronic devices, like wireless Blu-ray players and Internet-connected TVs. I can watch my Film Fresh movies everywhere?
Well, not quite. But the Film Fresh universe is expanding. Which means that, not only can you watch films online at FilmFresh.com, you can also watch your movies in your living room on countless consumer electronic devices -- wireless Blu-ray players, Internet-connected TVs, and soon, mobile handsets and tablets.
Once you are signed up for the Film Fresh service, you will be purchase and access your films from any device that has a Film Fresh movie store. And you can move between devices. You can rent a film online at FilmFresh.com, and then move to your living room and watch your movie through the Film Fresh store installed on your Blu-ray player. Or watch half of the movie in one place and the other half in another, or... you get the idea.
Soon, you’ll be able to view your Film Fresh purchases on your mobile phone and tablet, too, allowing you to watch your movies on your own time and in your own way.
How do I watch movies in my living room?
First, you need a wireless Blu-ray player or an Internet-connected television that contains a Film Fresh application. For a current list of the devices featuring our store, click here.
Follow these steps to begin watching Film Fresh movies in your living room:
1) Set up your device and connect it to your home Internet network, either wired or wirelessly, according to the instructions that came with your device.
2) Check for any updates to your device’s operating system, to make sure you have the latest version of our store. Refer to the directions that came with the device for instructions.
3) Activate the Film Fresh store on your living room device, as follows:
- Navigate to the Film Fresh icon displayed on the screen and open the store.
- Sign up for a Film Fresh RoxioNow account. You'll need to grab your computer and go online to FilmFresh.RoxioNow.com/activate. Follow the directions there. After you have signed up, you'll be given a five digit code. Write down this code and go back to your living room device.
- Select a film to rent or purchase in this store. You will be prompted for the five digit code you received online. Using the remote for your living room device, enter this code. (This is the only time you will need this code.)
That's it. Your living room device is now registered to your Film Fresh account. Happy viewing!
Which electronic devices allow me to watch Film Fresh movies?
Film Fresh is available on a wide variety of consumer electronic devices. You'll find our application -- powered by RoxioNow -- on wireless Blu-ray players and connected TVs, and soon, mobile devices, tablets and set-top boxes.
