Little Green Men

Leprechaun, the franchise that gave a young Jennifer Aniston her first feature role and launched her career, has long been a cult favorite among gore and comedy fans alike. This year, you can get your St. Patrick’s day fix of the entire franchise of evil little green men here on Film Fresh!

Start in the beginning with the original LEPRECHAUN (1993).  An evil Leprechaun (Warwick Davis) comes to the U.S. in search of his stolen gold when he’s captured and trapped by O’Grady (Shay Duffin), the man who stole his gold. Years later, Tory (Jennifer Aniston) and her father (John Sanderford) move into O’Grady’s home. When some of Tory’s new friends accidentally release the Leprechaun, he goes on a bloody rampage in search of his stolen gold, and it’s up to Tory and her friends to stop him before it’s too late.

In the sequel LEPRECHAUN 2 (1994), the evil Leprechaun searches for a new bride on his birthday, setting his sights on a young girl in the O’Day family. When her father thwarts him, he promises to return in a thousand years to marry the descendant of the O’Day family. A thousand years later, the Leprechaun returns for Bridget Callum (Shevonne Durkin), the 16-year-old descendant of the O’Day bloodline. After killing a boy who tries to hit on Bridget, the Leprechaun kidnaps Bridget, and the only one who can save her is her boyfriend Cody (Charlie Heath) and his alcoholic uncle Morty (Sandy Baron).

LEPRECHAUN 3 (1995) takes the franchise to Sin City where a Last Vegas pawnbroker buys a statue of a leprechaun from a hobo, but then makes the mistake of taking the gold medal from around the statue’s neck and releases the trapped Leprechaun from inside. The angry little Leprechaun then sets out to find his pot of gold, only to lose one of his coins in the process. When a college student named Scott (John Gatins) finds the coin, he thinks his luck may have changed, but his luck doesn’t last long as he soon finds the evil Leprechaun hot on his trail.

On a remote planet, the Leprechaun attempts to marry the planet’s princess Zarina (Rebekah Carlton) with the hopes of ruling her planet, but when a platoon of space marines disrupt his plans, he follows them onto their spaceship to exact his own bloody revenge.  With scientific experiments and all the hazards of space, LEPRECHAUN 4: IN SPACE (1997) is a hilarious and thrilling gory ride.

Wannabe rappers Postmaster P. (Anthony Montgomery), Stray Bullet (Rashaan Nall), and Butch (Red Grant) get more than they bargain for when they steal a magic flute from record producer Mack Daddy (Ice-T) in LEPRECHAUN: IN THE HOOD (2000). Having imprisoned a Leprechaun to do his bidding, Mack Daddy sets him loose to recover the flute under any means necessary.

The Leprechaun returns to the inner city in LEPRECHAUN: BACK 2 THA HOOD (2003) when Emily Woodrow (Tangi Miller) and her friends accidentally release him when they happen upon his gold during a BBQ. With the help of the clairvoyant Esmeralda (Donzaleigh Abernathy), they attempt to stop the Leprechaun and his evil plans but not before he unleashes his bloody revenge.
